History

The home was built sometime between 1908 (when it doesn't appear on the map of Haverford) and 1913 (when it does). It historically has been the home of the minister of the St. Andrew's Methodist Episcopal Church, but rather than listing a list of all the known ministers (as there are on the respective church page), I am going to only list the inhabitants according to genealogical documentation for having lived in the domicile.

1920 census: Minister Orville is living with his family.

Name Age Relation to Head of Household
Name Age Relation to Head of Household
Orville S. Duffield 43 Head

Elizabeth S. Duffield 11 Daughter

Mabel H. Steelman 40 Sister-in-law

By 1985, the home was the residence of Gary L. Bowman, who was engaged at the time and a minister of the church.

The building was definitely still part of the church in 2006, and when the church closed down around 2012, it was sold to the Marchesani family for $189,000. They sold the home in 2013 for $479,000 to the Calverts, who themselves sold the home in 2023 for $770,000.
